Eren follows a very strict set of beliefs. Ever since his friend, Armin, showed him what the world was like beyond the walls, he grew deeply curious about exploring it for himself. Eren believes that everybody born in this world is born free, and anyone that tries to take freedom away from others are the scum of the Earth. He's extremely passionate and determind in his goal to protect mankind and give them the freedom he believes they deserve. His resolve is evident in his burning hatred towards the Titans and his promise to kill them all.

However, Eren lacks self-control and often acts on impulse without considering the consequences. This has lead to numerous dangerous and sometimes careless decisions on his part, with his friends constantly worrying about him.
