Relationships

Mikasa Ackerman

Mikasa was easily the strongest member of the 104th Training Corps. Being an Ackerman grants her superior strength and combat skills compared to the rest of her comrades. She excelled in her training with the ODM gear, gaining the admirition and respect of everyone in the 104th. When she joined the Survey Corps, she quickly became one of their greatest soliders. Aside from her accomplishments as a Scout, Mikasa cares deeply about her friends and allies, with a particular fondness for Eren. When they were younger, Eren had saved her from a group of human traffickers after they killed her parents. He wrapped his scarf around her and she's worn it ever since. Throughout the series, Eren seemed oblivious to Mikasa love for him, despite how protective of him she always was. He only admitted his feelings for her when it was too late.

Armin Arlelt

Armin has been Eren's best friend since they were young. It was acually him who introduced Eren to the outside world and fueled his ambition for freedom. He was very curious about the world and a loyal friend to his allies. However, unlike Mikasa and Eren, he lacked strength and self-confidence, considering himself useless because of this. However despite his phyiscally weakness, Armin still became one of the most valued members of the Scouts because of his intelligence and strategic planning. He was the last inherited of the Colossal Titan.

Jean Kirschtein

Jean's personality was the exact opposite of Eren's. Whereas Eren was more emotional and idealistic, Jean was collected and pragmatic. Initally, he didn't even believe fighting the titans was a worthwile cause. This drastic difference in their beliefs lead them to bump heads and start fights very often. Despite his blunt personality and hotheadedness, he does care very deeply about his comrades. Some even when to calling him a natural leader, able to assess complex situations and understand others. His leadership skills became more apparent as he aged, slowing adopting some of Eren's ideals by the time they reached Marley.
Connie Springer

It's easy to get along with someone like Connie, as he was considered the goofiest member of the Scouts. Though his enthusiasm wavered from time to time, he always remained a loyal and optimistic ally. He shared many of the same experiences as Eren, having lost his hometown and his family to titans. Connie joined the Scouts because he was inspired by Eren's determination.
Sasha Blouse

Similarly to Connie, Sasha was one of the less serious members of the Scouts. She cared very deeply about the lives of others, risking her life on multiple occasions to save people she barely knew. One of the key moments between her and Eren was was she revealed to him that she stole some meat from the older officers. This was the memory that played in his mind as Sasha died on their airship back to Paradis, having been shot by a Marleyan warrior.
Reiner Braun

Prior to his betrayal, Eren saw Reiner an older brother. During their training, Reiner showed Eren what it meant to be a soldier and the importance of protecting others. Eren definately looked up to him the most, so he was absolutely heartbroken and enraged when he found out that he was the Armored Titan. For the next few years, Eren viewed Reiner as nothing more than a tratior and murderer, planning the slow deaths of him and Bertolt for all the damage they caused to the people in the Walls. However, once Eren had spent some time in Marley, he began to gain more sympathy for Reiner. He realized they were raised under similar circumstances and both believed they were doing the right thing.
Bertolt Hoover

Just like with Reiner, Eren valued Bertolt as a trusted friend until he revealed himself to be the Colossal Titan. For all the suffering he caused in Shinganshina 4 years prior, Eren promised to make his death as painful as possible. However, he wasn't neccesarily happy when Armin ate him to take his titan, only watching in stunned silence as his former ally was eaten alive. When he meets with Reiner in Marley, he acknowledges that the two of them were victims just as much as he was.
Annie Leonhart

Initally, Eren greatly respected Annie, believing her to be an extremely capable fighter. When she was revealed as the Female Titan, Eren struggled to cope with that fact in the beginning, initally refusing to accept that she was an enemy. However, after witnessing the Female Titan slaughter his comrades, he finally gathered the stenght and rage to face her, leading to the battle that resulted in Annie being crystallized for 4 years. Though still enraged by her actions, Eren never had the same hatred for her that he had for Reiner or Bertolt.
Historia Reiss

When Historia dropped her fake persona and revealed her true identity, Eren starting hanging around her more often. He saw her honest person and wanted her to live her own life. When the two were kidnapped and learned about the Founding Titan, Eren was okay with Historia eating him and taking his powers if it meant the end of the Titans. He later argued against the government's plan of Historia becoming the next Beast Titan. Although the two cared very deeply for ech other, Eren wasn't above manipulating her into supporting his plans when he told her about The Rumbling.
Levi Ackerman

Eren's relationship with "Humanity's Strongest Soldier" didn't start off great, what with Levi beating him up during his court trial. However, once Eren became a full member of the Survey Corps and followed him for some time, he quickly gained tremendous respect and admiration for Levi. When he saw the gap in skill and experience between himself and the captain, he vowed to learn as much as he could from him. Levi, though always stoic and cold on the outside, did care about all of his comrades. He saved Eren's life numerous times believing that he was humanity's best hope. This is why, 4 years later, he was felt so upset and betrayed when the Yeagerists took over and planned for Eren to go through with Zeke's plan.
Erwin Smith

Commander Erwin was one of the most intelligent, tactical, and well-respected people in the entire series. Erwin was willing to do damn near anything to protect humanity, even if it meant endangering his own life and the lives of countless soldiers. Up until his death, he believe mankind's fate rest entirely on Eren, saying there is no way to reclaim the lands outside the walls without him. Though initally unsure of his tactics, Eren gradually learned from the Commander that sometimes risks must be taken to protect the ones he cares about.
Hange Zoe

With their borderline creepy obsession with titans, Eren initally found Hange's behavior off putting. They subjected him to many tests and experiments, as he was the first person with the power to transform into a titan. Following the raid in Liberio, 4 years later, Hange was angered by Eren's selfish actions and felt he betrayed the Scout's trust.
Zeke Yeager

Unbeknowst to Eren for most of his life, he had an older half-brother that lived in Marley. Initally, Zeke believed their father brainwashed Eren just as he did with him, though he would find out later that it was quite the opposite. When Eren secretly met with him in Marley 4 years later, they discussed Zeke's euthanisia plan and set it into motion. He also displayed some typically older brother behaviors whenever Eren talked about Mikasa, clearly seeing the connection they had. Zeke was terrified when he found out that Eren had been manipulating everything from the beginning and spent the rest of his short life under his control during The Rumbling. He was the last inheritor of the Beast Titan.
